The social studies department teaches students how to interact in society in a way that leads to greater cooperation and progress for humankind. By studying history, government, psychology, and sociology, students learn how people have worked together and are working together to build societies that respect all people and ensure a better future for all. Students engage the learning of content, analysis, application and synthesis assisted by direct instruction, individual work, group collaboration, and project based learning.
