Strategic Plan Components- 2020-2021 S.Y.

  • Those specific equity-centered strategic plan components that fall under the direction of the Office of Equity in partnership and collaboration with the Human Resources, Operations, and Innovation and Learning Departments include:


    VISION AREA- (Plan #7) Leadership | VISION STATEMENT- Equitable access affords all learners personalized educational opportunities and learning experiences in pursuit of their passions and  interests. 

    • FOCUS AREAS- Establish system-wide structures to implement Equity Action Plans and Equity Audits within each school and department.

    VISION AREA- (Plan #12) Teaching | VISION STATEMENT- Teaching practices are culturally responsive and inclusive to meet the needs of our diverse learners.

    • FOCUS AREAS-  Continue the use of District NEE Indicator 6.2- (The teacher’s communications with students are sensitive to cultural, gender, intellectual and physical differences) as part of the educator evaluation system, and develop LPS staff capacity to implement culturally responsive practices.

    VISION AREA- (Plan #13) Professional Learning  | VISION STATEMENT- Teaching and learning experiences are culturally responsive and inclusive to meet the needs of our diverse learners.

    • FOCUS AREA- Provide professional learning experiences for LPS staff around the principles of Belonging Through a Culture of Dignity in partnership with The Core Collaborative.

    VISION AREA- (Plan #14) Leadership | VISION STATEMENT- The existence of two-way cross-cultural communication structures ensure equitable voice and input from diverse stakeholder groups in service to all learners.

    • FOCUS AREA- Engage diverse stakeholders in dialogue about LPS culture around diversity, equity, & inclusion through staff, student & family surveys, focus groups, and other communication forums.
