Liberty Public Schools Graduation Requirements (Classes of 2025 & Beyond)

  • Please Note

    Students at LHS can earn 7 credits per school year (3.5 per semester) and 1 credit during summer school. Students wishing to take additional credit outside of the school day may do so but will be responsible to pay tuition for the course.

  • Cum Laude “With Honors” system 
    Students earning a 3.5 to a 4.0 grade point average will be recognized at high school graduation.
     
    Summa Cum Laude
    Grade Point Average: 3.9 to 4.000 
     
    Magna Cum Laude
    Grade Point Average: 3.7 to 3.89 
     
    Cum Laude
    Grade Point Average: 3.500 to 3.69
     
    Valedictorian and Salutatorian Recognition
    Students receiving the distinct honor of Valedictorian and Salutatorian will be recognized at high school graduation. 
     
    Valedictorian 
    Earns an A in all classes enrolled. 
     
    Salutatorian 
    Earn an A in all classes enrolled with the exception of one where they can earn a B.  
     
    • Please note that the weighted GPA is not a determining factor for LPS awards, including Valedictorian, Salutatorian, and Cum Laude honors
