District Communications
-
Liberty Public Schools believes that collaboration and two-way communication between home, school, and community improves performance. Our commitment is to engage families and community partners so they are actively involved in supporting student growth through diverse programs and initiates. To support this commitment, Liberty Public Schools strives to keep our community updated with accurate and timely information through a combination of websites, social media, email newsletters, notification systems, and printed documents.
Website
-
Our website is the primary source of information about the district. Parents, students, staff and community members can find the most up-to-date information, news stories, calendar events, resources and contact information. We were excited to partner with Blackboard in the summer of 2017 to design new websites for all of our buildings and district.
District Mobile App
-
LPS stakeholder's can download our free mobile app for access to district and school news, calendar events, push notifications and much more - and straight from your smartphone! Parents and guardians can log in to view student information, such as meal balances, attendance and bus routes. This tool has become a tremendous asset in our communication plan, as LPS has had over 14,000 downloads since introduction six years ago!
-
Facebook continues to be a popular platform for parents and guardians to receive information about the district on a daily basis. Liberty Public Schools will post all emergency notifications on Facebook, as well as frequent stories that highlight our students, staff, and district. Over 14,000 followers enjoy our content shared on a regular basis, making our page one of the most followed school district pages in the state and region! To follow our page, click here!
-
Twitter is another popular platform for all of our stakeholders to receive district information, in quick, succinct messages under 140 characters. Liberty Public Schools will not only post direct messages from the district account, but will also re-tweet many of our buildings, teachers, and community partners. Also, to view what is going on around LPS while on Twitter, be sure to follow our common hashtags, which include #LPSLeads, #ShareTheGoodLPS, and #InThisTogetherLPS! YouTube
-
Video plays an important role in a district's communication plan. Liberty Public Schools, in partnership with LTN, Inc., records and posts a variety of district events, including monthly Board of Education meetings, recognition ceremonies, and more. Throughout the school year, other promotional videos will be published to highlight student and staff achievements in an effort to assist in Telling the LPS Story. LPS Educator
-
The LPS Educator is our quarterly district magazine that is mailed directly to all stakeholders that live in the LPS boundary. This publication includes feature stories, directory information, and other district happenings. During a time in which electronic communication is drastically increasing, we feel the need to provide our community with a traditional means of communication.
