Facilities and Grounds
The Facilities and Grounds Department includes Maintenance Division, Grounds Division and Custodial Services Division.
The objective of the Custodial Services Division is to maintain a safe, sanitary, and healthy environment for both staff and students. This objective is specifically intended to provide: safe, clean, serviceable, and attractive buildings, continuous use of facilities without disruptions to the educational program, protection of public property through proper planning, scheduling, and preventive maintenance, conservation of energy by taking proactive measures to reduce consumption, a quality custodial maintenance program through effective management and efficient utilization of resources.
The objective of the Grounds Division is to maintain large lawn, landscaping, and sports turf areas in a manner that supports the educational goals of the district. Further, this objective is specifically intended to provide: district grounds that minimize the possibility of injury and safety hazards and are well maintained, continuous use of sports fields without disruptions to the educational program, a quality grounds maintenance program through effective management and efficient utilization of resources, proper horticulture and maintenance techniques in order to protect and preserve public property in an efficient and cost effective manner.
The objective of the Maintenance Division is to maintain, throughout its expected useful life, the interior and exterior of school buildings, and all mechanical systems and subsystems through preventive maintenance and repairs. This objective is specifically intended to provide: buildings and their components that function safely and at top efficiency, facilities and equipment that minimize the possibility of fires, accidents, and safety hazards, continuous use of facilities without disruptions to the educational program, protection of public property through proper planning, scheduling, and preventive maintenance, quality management of maintenance projects and tasks, conservation of energy through utilization of the latest technology and energy conservation measures, and a quality maintenance program through effective management and efficient utilization of resources.
