2022 Summer Camp Overview
Our Kid's Zone Summer Camp is a fun, engaging, and enriching experience for elementary students of all ages! Our camp starts at 7:00am and goes until 5:30pm. Our theme this year is "Fantastic Future Me!" What do you want to be when you grow up? A dancer? A weatherman? How about an engineer? Find out this summer! Each day will be filled with activities, like our MindWorks Curriculum "All in a Day's Work." Students will learn about common and not-so common careers! We will also be going on field trips. Main Event, the Splash Pad, and the Chiefs Stadium are just some of the field trips that we are planning to go on! Space is limited, so be sure to sign up when registration opens on April 13th for your spot in Kid's Zone Summer Camp. You don't want to miss out!
What is Kid's Zone Summer Camp?
Kid’s Zone Summer Camp is where LPS students come in the summer time to grow, develop new skills, make lifelong friends and to simply be a kid and have fun.
Planning and preparation for camp are developed on an annual basis and subject to change from year to year. Our camp is designed for a 1 to 16 staff-to-camper ration during scheduled activities. Activities during summer camp can consist of small and large group activities, STEM activities, games, recreational activities, arts and crafts, talent shows, field trips, and a wide variety of age appropriate activities where children can explore their interests.
During the current COVID-19 pandemic, we successfully got through our 2021 summer camp. Although camp looked a little different than it has in the past, we were thrilled to be able to operate and we look forward to welcoming your children back into our care for this upcoming summer.
