The Purpose of PTA
- To promote the welfare of the children and youth in home, school, places of worship, and throughout the community
- To raise the standards of home life
- To secure adequate laws for the care and protection of children and youth.
- To bring into close relation the home and the school, that parents and teachers may cooperate intelligently in the education of children and youth.
- To develop between educators and the general public such united efforts will secure for all children and youth the highest advantages in physical, mental, social, and spiritual education.
- To advocate for fiscal responsibility regarding public tax dollars i public education funding
The Purpose of PTA Council
Liberty PTA Council is here to help. We provide support and assistance to the individual school PTAs and coordinate efforts and between local units. Councils help develop leadership, and support and encourage State and National PTA programs and projects. Councils bring people and schools together for a stronger voice for our children. Together we are stronger! Together everyone achieves more!
PTA Information
A PTA is a local, self-governing unit. It promotes the Purposes and Mission of the Missouri and the National PTA as it plans its programs and activities to meet the needs of children and youth in the community. Membership in PTA is open to anyone who believes in PTA’s mission. We are proud to have PTA representation in 17 of our Liberty schools, creating strong partnerships between families, teachers, and communities across the district. Our PTAs work year-round to support students, staff, and school programs, through events, volunteering, and advocacy. Membership is open and accepted all year long, so it's never too late to join and make a difference. Every membership helps strengthen our schools and shows support for the amazing work happening in our buildings every day. Membership information will be available at your school’s back-to-school event, and we encourage you to join. When you get involved with PTA, the child who benefits most is your own!
