School Counseling

At Liberty Public Schools, school counselors are a vital link to academic, career, and personal/social development for all students. Working in collaboration with other educational programs in the school, our professional school counselors ensure equity and access to programs and services so that every student is challenged and supported to achieve his/her highest potential.

All Liberty counselors utilize the Missouri Comprehensive School Counseling Program, which addresses the academic, career, and personal/social (life skills) needs of all students.

Liberty Public School counselors provide services that assist students in learning the knowledge and skills necessary for success. Counselors also measure the results of their programs, using data to determine our successes as well as areas that need improvement.

Liberty Public School counselors provide support for students through individual and group counseling, group information sessions and classroom lessons, and electronic media. We also consult with parents, teachers, and administrators as well as collaborate with other community resources.

Our ultimate goal is to help students obtain the knowledge, skills, and attitudes that lead to academic, career, and personal/social success.
