8 LPS Schools Earn PLTW Recognitions
Liberty Public Schools is honored to have eight schools with PLTW Program Recognition for the 2023-2024 school year.
Discovery Middle School was named as a PLTW Gateway Distinguished School.
Alexander Doniphan Elementary, Franklin Elementary, Lewis and Clark Elementary, Lillian Schumacher Elementary, Manor Hill Elementary, Shoal Creek Elementary and Warren Hills Elementary were named as PLTW Distinguished Schools.
PLTW stands for Project Lead The Way. The national program focuses on helping students develop real-world knowledge and skills for beyond the classroom. It focuses heavily on STEM programming for classrooms.
"PLTW Distinguished Program Recognition celebrates districts and schools committed to helping students own their education by increasing student access, engagement, and achievement in their PLTW programs," the program website reads.
