Inclement Weather Calendar Update
As you know, we have had several interruptions to in-person learning this semester due to inclement winter weather. Following the inclement weather day missed Wednesday, March 5, 2025, LPS now must make up two days within our 2024-2025 academic calendar. We wanted to share with our staff and families today that we plan to make up these days on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, and Wednesday, May 28, 2025. With the last day now being Wednesday, May 28, 2025, this day will be a three hour early release day for all students. A few additional details to make note of:
- Friday, May 23, 2025, will now be a regular day with all schools following normal dismissal schedules.
- EPiC Elementary's last day of school for the 2024-2025 school year will remain the same day (Friday, June 6, 2025).
Please note that LPS will remain engaged with state officials, as there remains a possibility that the state may decide to forgive some days missed due to the significant weather impacts faced across Missouri this winter. If we receive word of any adjustments, we will be committed to sharing information with you in a timely manner.
Finally, thank you for your patience and understanding as we have navigated these extreme winter weather
Thanks for your attention, and have a great rest of the week!
