Liberty North's Snyder Drafted to MLB

Liberty North High School Class of 2024 Graduate Trey Snyder was drafted to play Major League Baseball on Tuesday, July 15, 2024.

With the 144th overall pick in the draft, falling in the fifth round, Snyder was selected by the New York Mets.

Snyder led his Eagles team to two state championships while at Liberty North and was also named the 2024 Gatorade Player of the Year for Missouri baseball.

After this past season, he was ranked as the number one prospect coming out of Missouri. He was number 155 on the Top 250 Draft Prospects list, according to the MLB.

On top of may athletic accolades, Snyder has maintained a 3.98 GPA in the classroom. He originally signed a National Letter of Intent to play baseball on scholarship at the University of Tennessee this fall.

Snyder is the first Liberty North Eagle to be drafted out of high school.
