LMS Student Wins University of Missouri Music Composition Competition
Chace Curtis was chosen as a COMP 2024 winner for her composition titled "Red Leaves."
Chace won 1st place in the "Popular Genres, Acoustic” category of the Creating Original Music Project at the University of Missouri.
In recognition of her musical achievement, she was awarded $1,000. LMS received $1,000 as well.
Chace performed her song and received her award at the Creating Original Music Project Festival on April 20, 2024, at the Sinquefield Music Center at the University of Missouri.
Her composition can be heard on Spotify, along with other works she has written and performed.

Several Liberty Public Schools students are being recognized for their fine arts talents. Dozens of students will be representing the district as members of the All-State Band, Orchestra, Choir, Children's Choir and All-State Theater performance.
Incumbents Karen Rogers and Dan Currence were the only individuals to apply, meaning that with two positions available, there will not be a need for an election in April.
