LPS Recognized at Annual Blue Star Awards

Starlight’s annual Blue Star Awards recognize achievement and excellence in musical theatre among Kansas City area high school students.

This year LPS earned a combined 27 nominations between Liberty High School's production of The Addams Family and Liberty North High School's production of The Wizard of Oz.

The annual Awards Ceremony was celebrated on Thursday night, May 16, 2024, at Starlight Theatre featuring 276 nominations across 58 area schools.

LPS Blue Star winners include:

  • LHS - Outstanding Hair and Makeup Design
  • LHS - Outstanding Costume Design
  • LHS - Technical Contribution Award - Samantha Taylor, Hair and Makeup Design
  • Outstanding Performer in a Featured Role - Londyn Witherspoon as Ancestor (LHS)
  • LHS - Outstanding Ensemble
