LPS to Celebrate Retiring Staff in May

Liberty Public Schools will host its annual Retiring Staff Reception and Program on Wednesday, May 8, 2024. It will be held from 4:30-6 p.m. at the Liberty High School Performing Arts Center. 

Light snacks will be provided during the reception and retiring staff in attendance will receive their commemorative bell during the program.

Retiring staff attending the program include:

  • Anita Gonino (Discovery Middle School)
  • Jeff Baird (Transportation)
  • Cheryl Peña (Liberty North High School)
  • Anne Deaver (Discovery Middle School)
  • April Mundhenke (South Valley Middle School)
  • Debbie Wallace (Warren Hills Elementary)
  • Kathy Harmon (South Valley Middle School)
  • Robbi Ferrara (Warren Hills ELementary)
  • Tracey Kracht (Liberty High School)
  • Kathy Larson (Discovery Middle School)

We invite anyone interested in supporting these staff members to join them at the reception and program.

Several of our retiring staff members will not be able to attend, but we would still like to recognize them and thank them for their time with LPS. Those include:

Several Liberty Public Schools students are being recognized for their fine arts talents. Dozens of students will be representing the district as members of the All-State Band, Orchestra, Choir, Children's Choir and All-State Theater performance.

Incumbents Karen Rogers and Dan Currence were the only individuals to apply, meaning that with two positions available, there will not be a need for an election in April.
