A Message From the Superintendent

LPS Community,

As we prepare to open our doors for the start of the 2025–2026 school year on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, I want to extend a warm and enthusiastic welcome back to each of you. The start of a new school year is always an exciting time that is full of possibilities, renewed energy, and the promise of growth.

Over the summer months, our incredible teams have been working tirelessly to make sure our schools and facilities are fully prepared to welcome students and staff. From significant construction projects that will expand opportunities for learning, to those annual summer updates like fresh coats of paint and new carpeting, we’ve made tremendous strides in ensuring our learning environments are clean, safe, and inspiring spaces for all. These efforts reflect our continued commitment to excellence and providing top-quality experiences for every learner who walks through our doors.

None of this work would be possible without the ongoing support of our LPS community. Whether you are a parent, student, staff member, business partner, or community partner, we thank you for the countless ways you contribute to our shared success. It truly takes all of us working together to make Liberty Public Schools the outstanding district it is.

This year promises to be one of continued growth, innovation, and collaboration, with the goal of allowing for all of our nearly 12,000+ learners to THRIVE.  As we focus on student learning, well-being, and engagement, we are excited to build upon the momentum of previous years and create even more meaningful experiences for our learners.

We can’t wait to see our students back in classrooms, to connect with families, and to support our dedicated staff as they do what they do best—educate, inspire, and lead.
