Meet the Board of Education
Karen Rogers brings a deep passion for public education and a wealth of experience to her role on the Liberty Public Schools Board of Education. A proud parent, dedicated volunteer, and seasoned education attorney, Karen exemplifies service and leadership both in her professional and personal life.
Angie Reed served as an educator for 28 years, including several years as an 8th grade Special Education teacher at LPS before retiring in May 2013.
With a strong background in business intelligence and corporate strategy, employed by BarkleyOKRP, Mr. Bartlow brings a thoughtful, strategic approach to decision-making, ensuring that the conditions and guidelines within Liberty Public Schools allow students, teachers, and support staff to achieve their full potential.
Ms. Bauer has been a passionate advocate for Liberty Public Schools since joining the school board, driven by her commitment to strengthening the community through high-quality education. Married to John Bauer, LHS Class of 1989, she is the proud mother of two children: Anna (19), a second-year KSU Wildcat and 2023 Liberty North High School graduate, and Jack (17), a current student at LNHS.
Mr. Byrd is the father of two, the grandfather of five, and the great-grandfather of one. He and his wife, Theresa, have two daughters who graduated from Liberty High School. AJ and Theresa are also both graduates of Liberty High School. His primary reason for seeking a Board position is to ensure that all students have the opportunity to receive the best education the Liberty Community can offer them.
Dan Currence, along with his wife Sherry, grew up in rural central Missouri and both graduated from Eldon High School. They are proud parents of four children—three sons, all graduates of Liberty High School, and a daughter who is currently a Junior at Liberty North High School.
Mr. Marriott's reason for serving on the Board is to help serve the LPS community--to ensure that our students continue to thrive, to support the District's employees, to support public education, and to continue growing the opportunities that Liberty Public Schools offers.
