LPS Digital Citizenship Plan
In addition to having students annually read and sign our Acceptable Use Policy, Liberty Public Schools also has created learning targets for each grade level.
K-5 Digital Citizenship: Two topics per grade level to be implemented within the first 30 days of school by classroom teachers. Also includes additional resources for teachers as well as parent resources.
6-8 Digital Citizenship: Two topics per grade level to be implemented within the first 30 days of school through advisory. Also includes additional resources for teachers.
9-12 Digital Citizenship: Six topics to be embedded within Health, Personal Finance, and ELA as natural fit with existing curriculum. Implementation will occur when the topic best fits.

Looking Ahead: The digital citizenship committee will continue to meet throughout the school year with goals to enhance the provided lessons and resources, gather feedback from teachers about needs and behaviors, add additional parent resources, and better align to existing formats and practices.
