Liberty High School Wrestlers Are State Champs!

The Liberty High School Blue Jay Wrestling Team capped off a season to remember by claiming the Missouri Class 4 team state championship on Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the Mizzou Arena in Columbia, MO.

This becomes the first team state title in Liberty High School wrestling history.  In addition to the team championship, the Blue Jays brought home four individual state championship medals.  Those at the top of the medal stand included:  Jeremiah Reno (120 lbs.), Kyle Dutton (132 lbs.), Drake Smith (160 lbs.), and Greyden Penner (182 lbs.).

Liberty Public Schools plans to formally recognition this amazing team at their next regularly scheduled Board of Education meeting on Tuesday, March 24, 2020 at the District Administration Center.
