LNHS' Carlie Cisneros Named Gatorade Player of the Year

For the second time in three years, the Missouri Volleyball Gatorade Player of the Year is a member of the Liberty North High School squad. 

Junior OH Carlie Cisneros was awarded the honor on January 13, 2023, and is the third Eagle to receive the prestigious award.

Gatorade Player of the Year recognizes outstanding athletic performance, academic achievement and exemplary character.

Cisneros is now up for the Gatorade National Volleyball Player of the Year. 

As only a junior, Cisneros totaled 534 kills, 425 digs, 63 blocks and 31 service aces in the 2022 season. The Eagles finished third in the Class 5 state semifinals. 

PrepVolleyball.com recognized Carlie as the number one recruit in the Class of 2024 in the nation.

She also holds the school record for kills, with 1,237 total and another year to go. 

The award also recognizes Cisneros for volunteering as a youth volleyball coach and mentor, as well as maintaining a 3.93 GPA.

She has made a verbal commitment to continue her volleyball career at the University of Arizona after graduation from Liberty North.
