Liberty North journalism students traveled to the JEA/NSPA National Convention in Boston, Massachusetts, the week of November 6, 2023, where they took classes, networked with professionals and universities, and competed against other schools across the country.

They brought home several awards:

• 5th Place Best of Show: 2022-2023 Ayrie Yearbook
• Superior Ranking for Broadcast Anchor: Ava Powers
  • This is the highest award, and Ava was the only Superior in her category.
• Excellent Ranking for Broadcast Feature Story: Ryan Langdon and Ian Tomney
