Daniel Currence (Board Member)
Dan Currence earned his Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Missouri-Columbia. After receiving his Bachelor’s degree, Dan served 4 years in the US Navy as an officer in the Navy Civil Engineer Corps, stationed in Charleston, SC. Afterward, Dan worked for Parsons Corporation in St. Louis, MO, providing environmental engineering consulting services. He and his family relocated to the Liberty area in 1998 when he began working as a field engineer for Advanced Drainage Systems, Inc. After 15 years with ADS, Dan became Director of Engineering for the Plastics Pipe Institute, a trade association of plastic pipe manufacturers, where he is currently employed. Dan and his wife, Sherry, have three sons, who all graduated from LHS. Their daughter, Lily, attends LNHS. While living in central Missouri to care for his aging parents, Dan served on the Eldon R1 School Board, concluding his term as Board President. Dan began serving on the LPS Board of Education in April 2022. Dan and Sherry are active members of Pleasant Valley Baptist Church.
